Waved Texture

1. Prime hair withPureology Colour Fanatic . create texture, grip and hold in the hair by blow-drying equal parts of Pureology Control Twist high hold liquid wax and Pureology Anti Breakage Twist shine-texturizer .

2. Using a ¾” iron, start two inches below the part line on the right side, insert the iron with the spoon towards the scalp a slight diagonal towards the back of the head.

3. Create a wave by pulling the iron to the right as you are pushing the hair over the spoon to the left side, slightly rotating the lip of the spoon toward the ceiling. Continue this technique around the head. This creates a 20s-like wave ridge.

4. Insert the iron directly under the created ridge on the left side at a slight diagonal toward the back. Once the iron is in, push the iron to the right as you push the hair over the spoon to the left, slightly rotating the lip of the spoon toward the ceiling. Continue this technique all the way around the head.

5. Finish with a mist of Pureology Supreme Control maximum hold zero dulling hairspray .

6. To refresh, use Pureology Fresh Approach dry shampoo at the roots and dry-condition on the ends below the ridge curls. Hot Tip: The deeper you want the ridge, the more you can rotate the spoon up toward the ceiling.

Undone Updo/ Faux Hawk

1. Blow-dry with Pureology Root Lift spray foam mousse and Pureology Lustrous Volumizer bodifying glaze using a medium round brush.

2. Section a horseshoe-shaped section, from high point of the brow to the back of the crown, out of the way. On both sides, take a diagonal section from bottom of the crown to the back of the ear.

3. Take 1 horizontal sections (starting in the nape) and lace sections with a low elevation, directing each section toward the nape. Smooth surface using the side of a boar bristle brush and secure ponytail with an elastic 3 from the bottom hairline. Holding a few strands from inside the ponytail, push elastic up toward the nape, creating a square shape.

4. Using diagonal sections, lace hair at the roots away from the face, keeping sections close to the head. Smooth the surface, brush hair to just underneath the horseshoe and secure with two criss-crossed bobby pins (closed fasteners). Repeat on other side and pin on top of the previous section.

5. Using 1 horizontal sections, lace hair at the roots for volume and slightly lace out to the ends. Brush top section back, keeping it the width of the section. Once past the crown, hold the hair in position with large hair pins. Allow hair to drop over the ponytail section and pin a few strands around the elastic to cover.

6. Spray with Pureology Strengthening Control zero dulling hairspray to lock in the look.

1. Prime hair with Pureology Colour Fanatic. blow-dry with Pureology Anti Split Blow Dry andPureology Cuticle Polisher to create a smooth finish.

2. Section hair off, leaving the right side out approximately 2” at hairline to back of the ear.

Lace hair 1” at base all over.

3. Form a pony on right side back at hairline, flat as possible. Braid the pony and secure with an elastic. Release front section, pin top half away, lightly lace the bottom half at the base to create a cushion, Smooth with a soft brush and wrap this section around pony thickly, covering as much of the braid as possible.

3. Break this last section into 4 or 5 sections, whatever the hair allows.

4. Using an open fastener and needle, weave hair draping a flat panel down and insert at a diagonal behind the braid to start the pattern. Consistency is key for this look.

5. Take the next panel and bring it ¾” closer to the hairline than the previous panel. Continue until you run out of hair.

6. Wrap the ends around the braid where it has been wrapped by the previous section.

Finish withPureology Strengthening Control zero dulling hairspray .

1. Prime hair with Pureology Colour Fanatic and directional blow-dry with a Denman at the base of hair to create a gentle lift at the base.

2. Set a U-shapde section top of head with a 1” barrel iron in a brick lay pattern.

3. Set the rest of hair with a 1” barrel iron, wrapping hair around barrel holding ends with fingers. Using Pureology Sea-Kissed Texturizer salt-free tousle mist to create natural texture, alternate sections, one forward and one backward.

4. Section top and sides of hair above occipital using large clip to get hair out of the way.

5. Lace the nape section to create a cushion using small closed fasteners to secure longer length into cushion. Next, move to side sections using the vertical section with low elevation and lacing to create texture.

6. Use small fasteners to secure long hair into a bob length. Take clip out of top section then tousle hair using Pureology Density Definer medium hold crème wax. Fasten loose ends if needed.

7. Using a plastic sewing needle, weave the front section into the top side of hair to pull back from face.

8. Finish withPureology Strengthening Control zero dulling hairspray.

Waved Texture
