» Hometown Hot Dogs, 1231 Lancaster St. Millersport, Nov. 1. No violations.

» Wendy’s, 4410 Coonpath Road, Carroll, Nov. 1. Violations — The hot water did not reach 100 degrees at two hand sinks. The tile around the mop sink is chipped or broken and needs to be replaced.

» Club 33, 9645 Basil Western Road, Canal Winchester, Nov. 1. Violations — A hand-wash sign was not supplied at the kitchen hand sink. The carpet mats in the kitchen need to be removed. The hood canopy needs to be cleaned. Ready-to-eat, time-temperature controlled-for-safety foods stored for more than 24 hours need to be date marked.

» Speedway, 508 N. Memorial Drive, Lancaster, Nov. 2. Violations — The mop sink and the three-compartment area need to be cleaned. The area with a buildup of debris on the floor, carts, and walls needs to be organized. Chemicals need to be stored away from the food items at the fountain drink area. The hand sink area in the rear of the store by the three-compartment sink is being used to store plastic jugs; the hand sink is to be used for hand washing only. The floor in the walk-in cooler needs to be cleaned. A light shield is needed on the light at the far wall light in the walk-in cooler.

» Four Reasons Deli and Bakery, 135 W. Main St. Lancaster, Nov. 2. Violations — The door handles and the outside of the ovens has an accumulation of food and needs to be cleaned. Food was on the floor of the walk-in freezer; store foods 6 inches off the floor. If shelf space is an issue use inverted plastic buckets or milk crates to store foods off of the floor.

» Panera Bread, 1374 Ety Road, Lancaster, Nov. 2. No violations.

» McDonald’s, 1451 E. Main St. Lancaster, Nov. 2. Violations — The drive-through milk cooler was not supplied with a thermometer. A hand wash sign was not supplied in the ladies’ restroom. The bin of clean dishes on the racks needs to be cleaned. The bottoms of the bins have food debris, etc. The dishwasher needs to be cleaned inside and out. The ice scoops need to be cleaned and sanitized. The thaw tubs in the walk in need to be cleaned daily.

» Knights of Columbus, 343 E. Walnut St. Lancaster, Nov. 2. No violations.

» Lincoln Lanes, 1868 E. Main St. Lancaster, Nov. 2. Violations — The floor tile under both urinals needs to be replaced because of moisture damage. The hand sink in the men’s restroom needs to be cleaned to remove the dark stain. The men’s restroom was not supplied with a hand-wash sign. All three toilets need to be cleaned, under the seat, etc. Three bottles of chemicals were unlabeled. The rear storage loft in the kitchen needs to be cleaned and organized. Items that are not necessary for the food service operation need to be removed. The paper towel under the cups needs to be removed; clean cups need to be stored on a smooth, clean surface.

» Rax, 800 E. Main St. Lancaster, Nov. 2. Violations — The bottom of the urinal bowl is no longer cleanable and needs to be replaced or refinished. The front and latch on the cabinet under fry hot holding needs to be cleaned. The drawer pulls and the inside of the drawer on the prep table need to be cleaned. The wire racks above the sinks for dish draining need to be cleaned and perhaps resurfaced; rust appears to be developing.

» Mediterranean on Main, 512 E. Main St. Lancaster, Nov. 2. Violations — The range top and the char broiler both have a buildup of food debris and grease and need to be cleaned.

» Subway, 1522 River Valley Circle, Lancaster, Nov. 3. Violations — The men’s restroom was not supplied with a hand-wash sign. The toilet in the men’s room needs to be cleaned. The lid on one «make table» is broken and needs to replaced or repaired. Gnats are at the back sink and mop sink. Clean the area, hang mops to dry, and call an exterminator.

» Gran Ranchero, 1746 N. Memorial Drive, Lancaster, Nov. 3. No violations. Note: The gas has been shut off. The water is heated with gas and the cooking is done with gas. Employees are preparing foods; all food prep must end. The establishment must close until hot water is available for hand washing.

» Red Lobster, 1515 River Valley Circle, Lancaster, Nov. 3. No violations.

» Golden Corral, 2296 N. Memorial Drive, Lancaster, Nov. 3. Violations — The seal on the glass door for the cooler is pulled loose and needs to be replaced. The dish dolly and drain board need to be cleaned. Areas need to be cleaned and sanitized before clean dishes are put away. The hand sink needs to be cleaned. Coats were stored with to-go boxes. Personal items need to be stored separately. Ice scoops need to be stored on a clean surface only. The inside of the pizza prep and chicken coolers need to be cleaned. The outside and handles of all equipment in the chicken frying area need to be cleaned. The side of the ice machine needs to be cleaned. Knives and spatulas were stored in standing water in the bakery; store clean or in product. The family restroom was being used for storage; move storage to the kitchen or remove all fixtures and plug the plumbing in the restroom.

» Happy Penguin, 1531 Gran-ville Pike, Lancaster, Nov. 7. Violations — Sanitizer test strips were not available. The drive-through window needs to be finished. The slicer, oven, seal of the milk cooler in the front, mop sink, and the hand sink in the utility closet need to be cleaned. The walls behind the griddle, soups, and slicer have an accumulation of food debris; clean the wall or install stainless or other easily cleanable material.

» Pizza Crossing, 147 Tiki Lane, Lancaster, Nov. 7. Violations — Wet towels were near the hand sink. Store wet wiping clothes in sanitizer water to prevent bacterial growth. Uncooked chicken breast was in the reach-in freezer above hoagie patties. Raw chicken needs to be stored below all other foods in the freezer. The stained ceiling tiles from the leaks need to be replaced with washable, vinyl coated ceiling tile. The ceiling vents need to be cleaned where dust is accumulating. The drain line in the walk-in freezer needs to have an air gap before draining into the floor drain.

» Tiki Bowling Lanes, 1521 Tiki Lane, Lancaster, Nov. 7. Violations — Hot water was not available in the men’s or women’s restrooms; the plumber has been called. The stained ceiling tile in the front storeroom needs to be replaced with washable vinyl coated tiles.

» Penn Station, 143 Ety Road, Lancaster, Nov. 7. Violations — Packages of ham were thawing in the prep sink. The manager corrected and began running cool water (57 degrees) over the thawing hams.
